Tomorrow
So here is a story i wrote for the sake of improving my writing skills for SPM for i cannot tolerate with anymore B or B+ for English. This is a one word essay question form 2002 of im not mistaken, it is Tomorrow. So i guess i just entitled this story Tomorrow then.

The saying goes “Yesterday's a history and tomorrow's a mystery”
Olivia was sitting on her desk studying for her upcoming exam. She was so engrossed until a knock brought her back to reality. A small figure came into the room with the sweetest smile. It was Anna, her sister. She was holding two barbie dolls in her tiny hands. “Olivia would you like to play with me?” she asked sweetly. “No thanks” Olivia shooked her head and went back to her studies. Anna then interuppted her once again ”But daddy just got me these new dolls, and I dont have anyone else to play it with but you”. Olivia groaned “ I don't care whatever daddy got you. Now leave me alone!” she shouted at her little sister. Anna twitched. She didn't have the intention to make her sister angry. “Sorry” Anna paused “Perhaps we could play tomorrow then”. Anna then went out of the room. “Whatever” Olivia rolled her eyes.
She always hated her little sister. She is such a troublesome and she always gets away with everything. Her parents spoils Anna too much in Olivia's opinion. Last time, she ruined a cake Olivia made for her best friend and her parents asked her to act maturely enough to just forgive her little sister. “Ergh that little rascal” Olivia mumbled in irritation. She closed her book, retrieved her ipod from her bag, put on her earbuds and started listening to songs on high volume. After a few good seconds later, or as it seems to her, she had drifted to a light sleep.
“Olivia please help me!” Anna shouted. Her little sister was drowning in the vast ocean. Olivia was helpless, She didnt know what to do. Suddenly an enormous wave came by and took her sister away. Anna was lost from her sight. “Anna, Anna come back please!”Olivia cried.
“Arghhhhh” Olivia shrieked in terror. She sat up on her bed. She was catching for her breath. Beads of perspiration rolled down her forehead. Her head went back and forth as her eyes lingered wildly around the room. “Thank god it was just a dream” she exhaled.
The next following day, Olivia went downstairs to enjoy her breakfast. She sat down next to her father, and it took awhile for her to notice Anna's absence. “Mummy,where's Anna?” she asked. “Oh she went out today to play with Susan” her mum replied while putting a piece of pancake on Olivia's plate. Olivia exhaled as a sign of relieve. She was feeling rather peckish so she gobbled up her pancake. Just when she was about to go and wash her dishes, a loud crash sounded from outside of their house. They ran to the front door to see what must have happened.
She couldn't believe at her sight. It was Anna. She got hit by a car. Her tiny body laid on the road and her dress is covered in blood. She ran to her sister and hugged her tightly. “Anna, Anna please! Please wake up! Please!” Olivia screamed. Anna, was helpless, she was barely breathing. Suddenly, ab ambulance arrived and rushed Anna to the hospital.
They waited at the hospital lobby. Olivia's dad was walking about across the hall while her mum embraced her tightly. There was an intense silence. Suddenly, the doctor came and they all rushed to him. “I hate to inform you this, but we couldn't save your daughter. We did everything we could” spoke the doctor helplessly to Olivia's father. The doctor then handed Anna's barbie doll to Olivia. They couldn't hold back their tears anymore. Olivia felt like she was strucked by a lighting. She felt as if a dagger went right through her chest. She couldn't breath. Tears streamed down her face like heavy rain. The pain was so intense, so real. She couldn't believe it. She lost her sister, her one and only sister that she hated so much.
That night, Olivia went to Anna's room to relieve her sadness. She noticed a picture of them that Anna framed and place it next to her bed. There was also a drawing of Anna and Olivia pasted on her bedroom wall. Olivia sat on Anna's bed and she saw a diary under her blanket. She opened and read the diary. “I have a sister. Her name is Olivia. I love her so much. She is my best friend” was the first thing that was written on her diary. Beads of tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't believe how much Anna loved and favoured her. Olivia kept on reading the diary until she came across this one page. Anna wrote it yesterday. “6/12/2010. Today, my daddy got me two new barbie dolls. It is very pretty. It reminded me of my sister, Olivia. So I went to her room and asked her to play with me. But she didn't want to play with me because she had to study. Oh I am so sorry Olivia, I didn't mean to make you angry. I was sad because i had to play alone, but that's alright, I will ask her to play with me tomorrow then”. Olivia sobbed so hard she couldn't breath. She started to choke. She remembered Anna wanting to play with her yesterday but instead she refused and yelled at her little sister to leave the room. Only now she realized how much she loved Anna. If only she could turn back the time. If only she had known what would happen tomorrow day, she wouldn't trade her sister for anything in the world. Tomorrow is indeed a mystery.
